We\nhave in-depth knowledge of the exacting specifications and standards required by companies in this market, as\nstainless steel is one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metals.it\/en\/stainless-steel-in-the-food-and-medical-sector\/\">the\nmost widely used materials in the sector<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">When a leading French group, specialized in the production of <strong>laboratory glassware washers<\/strong>\nand <strong>other electromedical devices<\/strong>, approached us <strong>to develop a new line of washing\nmachinery<\/strong>, scheduled for serial production by the end of 2026, we were eager to seize the opportunity\nand leverage all of Metal\u2019s expertise.\nThis was, in fact, a competitive selection process: the client decided to evaluate <strong>three potential\nsuppliers<\/strong>, Metal\u2019s and two competitors, to identify the ideal partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The process began between late 2023 and early 2024, with an initial, intensive selection phase lasting over a\nyear. Months of proposals, technical reviews, and weekly calls culminated in a particularly challenging request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The requirement: produce a sample under extremely tight deadlines, compliant with the company\u2019s specifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The client was seeking a supplier to support a highly sensitive phase: <strong>the replacement of a long-standing\nmachine line<\/strong>, operational for over twenty years, with a new series of laboratory glassware washers\ndesigned to remain on the market for the next 10 - 15 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This represented a critical step for the group<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Accordingly, the client needed <strong>a partner capable of assisting<\/strong> throughout <strong>the\ndesign<\/strong>, <strong>development<\/strong>, and subsequent <strong>production<\/strong> of the new\nmachine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">For this reason, during the preliminary phase, the client requested that all three potential suppliers produce\n<strong>a sample<\/strong> (without dedicated tooling) within <strong>very tight delivery timelines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>The objective was to assess not only the quality<\/strong> of the work but also each supplier\u2019s\n<strong>ability to meet deadlines<\/strong> and collaborate effectively with the company from the outset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Metal\u2019s response: delivering a fully optimized sample ahead of schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">We accepted the challenge and focused on producing a sample fully compliant with the client\u2019s technical\nrequirements, already optimized to meet the typical specifications of electromedical machinery. Our objective was\nto provide <strong>a tangible demonstration of Metal\u2019s expertise<\/strong> and <strong>proactive approach, even\nunder tight deadlines<\/strong>. As a result, we successfully delivered the complete sample on time.\nAnd the other competitors?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"One week after delivering our sample, we learned that the client was still waiting for the prototypes from the other\ntwo competitors. During the visit, they appreciated the <strong>build\nquality <\/strong>and the <strong>meticulous finishing<\/strong> of the model we had produced. Some of the\nsolutions proposed by our technical office, although not part of the original request, were included in the prototype\nand <strong>pleasantly surprised<\/strong> the client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">From that moment on, the company attentively considered <strong>every suggestion from our team and selected\nMetal\u2019s <\/strong>as the partner for the development of the entire line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">We then initiated <strong>the design and production phase<\/strong> of the various machine components,\nadvising the client on materials and potential improvements. One specific recommendation concerned\n<strong>the use of 90 \u00b0C-resistant glass<\/strong> reinforced with specialized treatments, which we selected in\ncollaboration with our trusted suppliers. This enhancement was possible precisely because <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metals.it\/en\/how-metals-works\/\">we control the entire supply chain<\/a>, <strong>from\nprocurement to delivery<\/strong>, and know exactly where and how to intervene to optimize a project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The client enthusiastically embraced all our proposals and entrusted us with the production of the equipment. In\nthe subsequent phase, we delivered the <strong>final sample with <\/strong><strong>molds<\/strong>, proceeding\nthereafter with series prototyping. Full-scale production is scheduled for the second half of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A new collaboration that fills us with pride and drives us to excel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">From the very beginning of the project, <strong>we have worked closely with the client<\/strong> to implement\nrequested modifications and improvements, both before and after the testing phase, in order to refine the machine\nand increasingly align it with the company\u2019s requirements and objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the project is still under development and the collaboration is new for both parties, the client immediately\nrecognized Metal\u2019s as a key partner. They entrusted us with consulting services for the optimization,\nindustrialization, and technical and economic enhancement of their stainless-steel laboratory glassware washing\nline. In turn, we were pleasantly impressed by the client\u2019s highly structured approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Following the sampling phase, a team of key company representatives - including the R&amp;D manager, quality\nmanager, technical office, and purchasing manager - <strong>visited our facilities several times<\/strong>. Each\nmeeting provided an opportunity to conduct thorough audits, which we always welcome, and, above all,\n<strong>to establish a constructive dialogue<\/strong> on how Metal\u2019s could contribute to the technical and\nfunctional improvement of the product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are proud and motivated by this trust, as the company\u2019s goal\u2014to revolutionize a long-standing electromedical\nwashing machine\u2014is highly ambitious, and we are ready to demonstrate that we are the right partner to support\nthem, now and in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">\"From the very beginning, this has been a highly intensive collaboration, allowing us to quickly build <strong>a\nrelationship of trust with a completely new client<\/strong> operating <strong>in a sector<\/strong>, the\nstainless-steel medical sector, <strong>we know well<\/strong>.
